Ever wonder if your home is a good fit for solar? This week you’ll have a good chance to find out! The Solarize Rhode Island program helps communities install solar panels from a reputable installer with flexible financing. And now Solarize is in the Aquidneck area!

Solarize Aquidneck is hosting three free community events to help residents learn about the program in your area. During the events you will meet the selected solar installers for Solarize Aquidneck and be able to ask them questions. These events are open to the public.

On May 30, we hosted the ALT for an Herb Walk at Island Community Farms. The walk was a wonderful success, led by the lovely and knowledgeable Jessyloo Rodriguez and Daryl Ayala. We explored the many beneficial and edible herbs that abound in the hedgerow and in the food forest – nettles, dock, St John’s Wort, wild raspberries, red clover, mullein, evening primrose and honeysuckle, among others. Join us in the fall when we check out the new herbs available in that season!
