One of our neighbors has started this petition. If you would like to see GMO labeling on products in Rhode Island, you might want to check it out.
Connecticut became the first state to pass a bill that would require food manufacturers to label products that contain genetically modified ingredients. It’s our turn now. We want to know what we are eating. GM products are unproven. We have a right to be informed.
That’s why I created a petition to The Rhode Island State House, The Rhode Island State Senate, and Governor Lincoln Chafee, which says:
“Rhode Island and Providence Plantations legislators: Please pass a bill like Connecticut’s that requires food manufacturers to label products containing genetically modified ingredients.”
